At The Restoration, we are a full general contractor restoration company. We focus mainly on insurance claims and work directly with homeowners or property owners, handling their commercial properties or residential homes, replacing roofs, gutters, and all their exterior needs.

We heard about Modern Work from friends who also use the property. We looked around at other similar places and found that Modern Work was the best fit for us.

My favorite space at Modern Work is the common area with the flip-up chairs against the walls. I sit there and talk on the phone for an hour or two with clients or insurance companies. The chairs have built-in chargers, so I can plug in my phone. It’s nice to have a conversation there because the sound-deadening walls ensure that no one hears you as they walk by, and the chairs are very relaxing.

I haven’t spent enough time in the lego room, but I think having a room like that in an adult professional setting, where you can let your inner child out or create a DVD house, is pretty neat.

My name is Patrick Sittenauer, I’m with Doering Fleet Management, and I’ve been at Modern Work for just a little over a year. What brought me to Modern Work was a networking event I attended here. I was at another office, but this place felt more inviting.

As I was walking through Modern Work, the modern feel and look stood out to me, along with some elements reminiscent of the 60s, like the furniture in the offices. It had a nice feel to it. Really, the only things I had to bring in were my computer, a monitor, and a printer. In fact, the space here is larger than my previous office for about the same cost, which is really nice.

Coming to work at Modern Work is pleasant and friendly. Kate greets you with a smile at the entrance, and you can say hello to the people who office here by name, even though there are quite a few. Despite the networking I do here and the networking events, I still feel like I have plenty of privacy to conduct my business without interruptions. I have the time to focus on what I need to do, and that’s what’s important.

I started looking for a space that could be collaborative in nature so people would be able to come into a central environment and dream a bit. 

I’ve literally come here  to get myself settled. I didn’t realize coming here during the middle of COVID my business was gonna double within the last 6 months. So by being here in a focused environment, not only I love the space but it’s actually worked out really well for my clients. 

I moved here into this space because my clients needed to have something a little bit more intimate, so that I can have more people in one singular room at a time as well. But we also do a lot of filming of content so having a bigger space has worked really good. 

So if I have teams on site it’s cool because they are not locked into a single space, they can go into the cafeteria area and chill out and relax, or go into a community area and have a small group time. 

There’s just so many unique things about this specific space that I don’t know anybody else in town that has that type of thing to offer.

Hey, I’m Murphy, I’m Wal, we’re going to show you WMK Studios here at Modern Work. Come on in.

So, this is our main creative space where we collaborate on video, photo, graphic design—things people need today for content. When we first got here, this room didn’t exist. It was all cement, and they built this room out per our request. We got to choose the carpet, the desks they manufacture on the first floor, and we even ended up with this cool whiteboard table. When we’re holding meetings and brainstorming, we can write our ideas and notes right on the table.

Now we’re going to show you our favorite amenities around here. Walt, this is definitely the best room in this entire building. We’ve shot everything from documentaries to product photography and music videos. It’s a shared space, so when you rent your office here, you get access to this creative space.

Next, we’ll head over to Murph’s favorite room.

This is our break room, but it’s not just for eating. We always come here as a team to take a break during the day and enjoy our meals. We also play pool and ping pong. This is where it all goes down—happy hour on Fridays. Kate will whip you up some drinks, and you get to network with other companies. This place has been monumental in our growth. We’ve been able to network with different companies and gain so much business just by being part of the Modern Work family.

The reason we moved from our existing building was that we wanted to downsize. We knew that the smaller space options at Modern Work were a great fit for us. 

Our first impression of Modern Work was fantastic. It was beyond our expectations, and it was very easy to get in and start working quickly. 

The ecosystem at Modern Work allows for natural networking. People can see us working and operating, which gives them immediate confidence in us. It’s nice to be close to other professionals who see us in our natural state.

Since we moved to Modern Work, our customers have really enjoyed the new, fresh space we’ve created. The future for us at Modern Work is very bright. If we need more space or even less space, it will be a simple move.
